Social media marketing can seem a little complicated at first if you are just starting out but once you get the basic hang of how everything plays out in the long run, you will become a pro at it. There are a few things that are crucial for a successful social media marketing campaign and one of those things is: timing.
See, ‘when’ you post something on social media plays a huge role in how it is going to be received by your audience and how much engagement it will get. You can’t just randomly go around posting whenever you want if you wish to run a successful social media marketing campaign for your brand.
Why is it such an important factor, you ask? Let me point out a few reasons.
Different Time Zones:
If you have a international brand and you are marketing over social media, you have to consider different time zones that you audience hails from. Notice the difference between your time zone and that of your audience form around the globe and fine some optimum time to post that will ensure the best engagement rate. Here is a general optimum timing chart to get you started.
Timing is important not just for posting stuff on social media but for responding to your audience as well. If you respond to a comment or post about your brand after two weeks of it being published, you come off as ignorant. You have to keep your eyes peeled for things being said to you and about your brand to respond to them as quickly as possible. This will show your audience that you care about their needs, which will increase your brand loyalty.
Schedule Posts Ahead of Time:
If you schedule posts ahead of time, you will have a much better chance at a successful social media marketing campaign. See, something personal comes up out of the blue and you need to take care of it, which results in you not being able to focus on your social media marketing. But thanks to your foresight, you have already scheduled posts beforehand and you don’t have to worry about it. You can see how this will really improve your marketing.
But if you are scheduling posts beforehand, make sure that you don’t forget about them. You need to engage with people who respond to your posts. If you don’t, your social media marketing will feel automated and you will quickly lose followers because let’s face it, nobody wants to talk to a robot.
Without timing everything properly, you social media marketing will not be successful. Whether you are automating posts or posting manually, you need to focus on when you post them. Keep in mind that your main goal is building relationships with your audience and that can’t happen if your audience is not present to begin with. Also, respond to comments and posts about you in a timely fashion to build a loyal community for your brand.
