How to Get Influencers to Spread Word about You
Influencer marketing is basically getting popular people in your niche, people with a large audience, to share your content. That will help in marketing your brand and bringing new followers to your page or website. In turn, your sales may go up too.
So, that’s influencer marketing. The question is: How can you get influencers on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Youtube etc. to share your content or spread word about you? Message strangers and asking them to share your content or mention you in their post will only get you ignored. So my first word of advice will be to not do that, at the very least.

Building a Healthy Relationship:
Would you be inclined to help a random stranger or a person that you see or hear from very often? I’m guessing the latter option would be the one you choose. Same works for influencer marketing.
Influencers often get messages from people in their field asking them to share their content or mention them. Unsurprisingly, those random requests get ignored usually. If you want to get influencers to share your content, you need to get noticed by them.
Like their posts and comment on them. In other words, communicate with them but do not ask them to spread word about you just yet. They will start noticing you if you keep doing this for a time. After that time, you can ask them to share your content with their audience. Remember, even if they say no at first, do not stop interacting on their posts. Keep doing whatever you were doing before and then after some time, ask them again. Chances are that they will not refuse you the second time around.
Share Their Content:
More often than not, sharing influencers’ posts or mentioning them on your page really gets you noticed by them. By sharing their content, you are increasing the chances of them sharing your content when you ask them.
Only ask them to share the content that is highly relevant to what they share in their posts. Get them interested and show them the quality of your work by emphasizing that it will relate to their audience. Again, if they say no, do not get disappointed. Just try harder and harder till you achieve what you were hoping for.
Contribute to Their Blog:
If the above options do not work, this one probably will. Influencers have a lot of work load and maintaining a blog is hard sometimes. So, you can contact them about wanting to do a guest post on their blog. Like I said before, this will definitely get you noticed.
Check out their website and see if they have any guidelines about guest posting. If they do, you need to follow them precisely. If you don’t respect the guidelines, it will backfire on you. When you email them asking to guest post on their blog, be sure to include the detailed synopsis of what you are going to write and how it will connect to their audience. This is your chance to get noticed by more people, so use this wisely.
Do an Interview:
Almost everybody likes to feel like an expert in their field. Contact the influencers in your field and ask them to do an interview on your blog or website and share their expertise with your audience. More often than not, this is a great way to get influencers interested because they feel respected.
If they do the interview, send an email thanking them for their time and ask them to hare the content with their audience as well. Interact with them positively and show them respect and they are likely to collaborate with you in the future as well.
Influencer marketing is a really great way to enhance the reputation of your business. Yes, it takes investment of time on your part but in the end, it is worth all the struggle. The content doesn’t always have to be a blog article or something like that. It can be photos, video, infographic or anything like that. It just has to be relevant to what your influencer is interested in and it will do the trick.
