Facebook Videos Now Have 100M Hours Of Daily Views
As it was apparent in 2015, Facebook is really focusing on video aspect of the social network. It is working really hard to make users upload their videos and view others solely on Facebook instead of creating channels on Youtube like websites. 2015 was a year of video progress with every social network rolling out update after update in this regard. Well, we now have the result of Facebook’s efforts in making its video aspect really successful.
In the Quarterly earnings call on Wednesday, according to Re/Code, Facebook did not deny that videos have really become a large part of its quarterly earnings. Facebook has still not shared the revenue it earned through videos but we can only guess that it is huge based on this new statistic.
According to Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook users watch 100 million hours of videos per day. Furthermore, 500 million people watch Facebook video every day. While we knew about the huge statistic about daily video views of Facebook videos, we chalked it up to its 3 seconds requirement to make one view algorithm. But in no way we can ignore this new statistic that claims 100 million video watch time per day.
It really shows that Facebook’s efforts in the field of video marketing are really paying off.
